3M™ Polyester Tape 8403 is a translucent green polyester tape with a pressure sensitive silicone adhesive. It can withstand high temperatures and caustic environments, yet still removes without unwanted residue to eliminate time consuming clean-up. The thin, high tensile strength polyester backing is abrasion and solvent resistant while featuring a relatively low caliper thickness that is less likely to interfere with machinery processes.

The adhesive is long-aging to allow this tape to remain adhered and flexible for up to 3 hours while being used in an autoclave, as flash breaker tape or as masking for acid and caustic baths, among other applications. When finished this tape removes cleanly and easily to eliminate time consuming cleaning processes.
