3M carrier 3000UP is an ultra precision carrier tape that meets the demanding needs of smaller and thinner static sensitive components. Black, splice free polycarbonate carrier for applications requiring pocket dimensional tolerances at +/- 0.03 mm with a 0.12 mm - 0.2 mm pocket hole. Carrier tape features a typical surface resistivity of 10^5 ohms/sq.

    Ultra-precise pocket dimensional tolerance for static-sensitive components

    • This continuous, splice free, static-sensitive carrier tape features precisely formed pockets that effectively fit passive components according to ANSI/EIA guidelines during transport. It features a nominal surface resistivity of ≥10⁴ Ω/square and ≤10⁸ Ω/square. 3M™ Polycarbonate Ultra Precision Carrier 3000UP is able to dissipate charges accumulated due to triboelectric effects. This carrier tape is appropriate for packaging electrostatically sensitive chips. It is excellent for better part capture and improved component registration, and helps reduce concerns associated with component migration.

    • The polycarbonate material is very strong and stands up to impact which can damage delicate chips and components. Its shrinkage percentage is much lower than that for materials like polyester, helping keep the pockets stable even when properly stored for long periods (up to five years). This helps maintain accurate feeding and pocket position and helps reduce the possibility of component sticking.
