3M™ Double Coated Tape 97005 features a .5 mil polyester (PET) film with a 1.2 mil high performance pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive on both sides. The film carrier adds stability during processing. This double sided tape provides permanent bond on foams, plastics, metals and composite materials subjected to a wide range of environmental conditions.

Our 3M™ Double Coated Tape 97005 is a high performance tape specifically designed for splicing and bonding applications. The 1.2 mil acrylic adhesive is coated on each side of the .5 mil polyester film carrier. The medium-firm acrylic delivers high adhesion and makes for efficient laminating processes. The durable carrier improves the handling of the tape, and a 50-lb. glassine paper liner adds stability during processes such as die-cutting and slitting.

What is Double Coated Tape?
In general, double coated tape is composed of a paper, film, or tissue carrier that is coated on both sides with pressure sensitive adhesive.
