Highlights
  • UL 94 V-0 certified, FAR 25.853 60 second vertical burn test
  • Adhesive formula cures rigid for high static load holding
  • High shear ensures a permanent bonds
  • Fast 6 minute work life with handling strength in about 15 minutes at room temperature
  • Non-sag formulation ensures adhesive stays where applied

3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive DP100FR is a flame retardant, non-sag, two-part, rigid epoxy adhesive offering a fast cure and machinability. It is a fast-setting epoxy that cures at room temperature to form a rigid bond. Low viscosity for easy dispensing and leveling. Non-sag formulation ensures adhesive stays where applied.

When using a Duo-Pak (DP) size adhesive, rely on 3M dispensing equipment for convenient and accurate metering, mixing and dispensing.
Flame Retardant Formula Cures Rigid for High Static Load Holding
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive DP100FR is a non-sag, versatile structural adhesive for general purpose bonding where a UL 94 V-0 certified product is desired. Does not contain brominated or antimony- based flame retardants. It works on a variety of substrates including metals, ceramics, concrete and wood. Its high shear strength delivers strong, rigid performance, making it ideal for multiple applications in the electrical, general industrial, construction and consumer goods industries.

Fast 6 Minute Work Life with Handling Strength in about 15 Minutes
The mix ratio for 3M™ Scotch-Weld ™ Epoxy Adhesive DP100FR is 1:1 for quick, precise dispensing, and with a 6-minute working time there's some opportunity for repositioning for precise alignment of parts. The adhesive reaches handling strength in approximately 15 minutes and is fully cured in 48 hours (at 72°F/22°C).
Understanding Epoxy Adhesives
Epoxy adhesives, including 5 minute epoxy are part of the class of adhesives called "structural adhesives," which include polyurethane, acrylic, cyanoacrylate and others. Epoxies are formulated as liquid reactive polymers that undergo a chemical reaction when mixed and then cure to form a solid plastic material. Once the two parts are mixed in their specified ratio, they begin the curing process and offer a limited working time where the adhesive can be applied and the two surfaces positioned as needed. This work life lasts anywhere from a few minutes to several hours. These structural adhesives provide high shear and peel strengths, depending on the formula, and better heat and chemical resistance than other co
