3M™ Paint Protection Films Warranty

The following warranty is only valid in Malaysia.

3M warrants that applied 3M™ Paint Protection Film Series will be free of defects in materials and manufacture – including bubbling and cracking – for five (5) years from date of installation. This warranty does not apply to damage caused by misuse, accident, misapplication or ordinary wear, nor does it apply to dents caused by physical impact of rocks or road debris. Warranty coverage does not include paint pull during film removal process. This warranty is only provided to the original consumer purchaser and is not transferable. Some installers may choose to offer, on their own behalf, different or additional warranties or remedies, beyond the limited warranty and limited remedy offered by 3M. This warranty does not apply to headlight.

1. Birds and Bugs
   • Bird droppings and bug/insect debris may cause staining and should be washed off immediately.
   • Keeping a proper coat of wax on the film can help prevent staining.
2. Tree Sap
   • Tree Sap may cause staining and should be removed immediately.
   • If tree sap dries on the surface, it may cause staining. Contact your installer or 3M to get your car treated and minimise the damage.
3. Scratches and Dents
   • The film does not prevent dents caused by impact of rocks, flying debris, etc.
4. 3M™ Paint Protection Film Series
   • If 3M™ Paint Protection Film Series is removed, 3M is not liable for paint damage due to poor paint preparation, lack of paint curing time or other paint application issues.
5. Warranty Claim is limited only to material (PPF) replacement and liability limited to value of the invoice only.
6. While replacing this product by removing the old film PPF, if the vehicle paint adhesion is weak, then paint may chip off or it might cause some damage to the paint. This warranty doesn’t provide protection for the vehicle paint.
